The purpose of the magnesium alloy ingot casting machine & production line:
The main purpose of the magnesium alloy ingot casting line is to remelt the recycled magnesium alloy scrap. The melted magnesium melt is stirred mechanically or in an atmosphere, causing the magnesium liquid in the crucible to undergo circular circulation and upward and downward rolling convection, which can fully separate the floating slag and oxide impurities from the magnesium liquid and purify the alloy liquid. Then, the magnesium liquid is transferred to the ingot casting machine through a transfer pump for ingot casting. Finally, store after polishing and marking.

The main components of the magnesium alloy ingot casting line:
-
Melting furnace:
The function of the melting furnace is to melt magnesium scrap, and then add alloying elements to the melted magnesium liquid. After mechanical stirring or stirring with argon gas, the impurities or gases in the magnesium alloy liquid will be removed to obtain a magnesium alloy liquid with a purity that meets relevant standards. Adopting an environmental protection system, the furnace body is equipped with a built-in suction port, which is then connected to the pipeline below the platform, which is beneficial for the operation space above the platform.
-
Holding furnace:
The function of the holding furnace is to heat preservation the magnesium alloy liquid and quantitatively transport the magnesium liquid into the ingot casting machine mold with the cooperation of the pouring pump. It mainly consists of steel structure furnace body/cover, refractory insulation material, bimetallic composite steel plate crucible, pouring pump, pouring pipe, resistance heating element, thermocouple, protective gas pipeline and other components.
-
Stirring system:
The function of the mixer is to stir at low speed in the crucible where alloy is added, allowing the alloy components to fully contact the magnesium liquid, achieving the goals of slag removal, gas removal, alloy homogenization, rapid melting of coarse magnesium, and uniform temperature of the magnesium liquid in the crucible.
-
Liquid transfer pump and pipe:
The function of the transfer pump and transfer pipe is to smoothly transport the magnesium alloy liquid to the holding furnace. This design adopts patented technology spiral lift centrifugal design, which can ensure the rapid and stable transportation of magnesium liquid to the holding furnace, reduce heat loss of magnesium liquid, and improve liquid quality.
-
Liquid pouring pump and pipe:
The function of the pouring pump and pouring pipe is to quantitatively pour the alloy liquid left in the insulation furnace into the mold of the ingot casting machine. It adopts a reflux pump tube structure, which can effectively improve the surface smoothness of the alloy ingot and avoid secondary oxidation and slag inclusion caused by excessive flow rate on the surface of the alloy ingot.
-
Ingot casting machine:
The function of the ingot casting machine is to continuously work continuously to form standard specifications of pure magnesium or magnesium alloy ingots by quantitatively forming high-temperature magnesium liquid through high-temperature ductile iron molds, gas protection and oxidation prevention, cooling, and other processes.
